Diabetes is also indicated by sudden increase of appetite in your baby, but poor weight. In addition, his breath may smell bad with fruity or wine-like breathe.

Type 1 diabetes commonly occurs in babies and children. It is indeed a perilous disorder, thus, parents should pay attention to this. You must carefully observe the glucose level of your child and monitor it by blood utilizing a glucose meter. If your child has a caregiver, you must let that person be aware about such things.

If the doctor has prescribed insulin shot to your baby, you must conform. The doctor may show you how to do it and tell you how often you have to inject your child with it.

How rampant is the diabetes?

There are 75 percent of the victims of type 1 diabetes are children and young adults aging below 18 years old. Sometimes, type 1 diabetes is also called juvenile diabetes. Type 2 diabetes is typically occurring to adults, thus called the adult onset diabetes. However, diabetes often occurs early when children are not healthy. Moreover, the disease is mostly accrued by those who are overweight, which would lead to type 2 diabetes.
