When at the hospital, doctor may do some examinations to your child he may do some x-rays, an ultrasound, or a CAT scan. These procedures are all painless and the doctor may know and get a better image of your baby’s appendix.
In addition, doctor may take some blood test and even urine test to know if your child may be having an infection caused by urinary tract infection. Some may suggest calling for surgeon if your child may need some surgery.
Should the doctors suggest that your child need to have surgery, a general anesthesia may be given to him to make the surgery becomes painless. As part of the surgery, the doctor may cut a small opening to his abdominal wall, to cut off the appendix from the large intestine and remove any build up fluid.

Appendicitis is simply the inflammation of the appendix, a small growth, hollow, finger-shaped organ at the end of the large intestine, near its juncture with the small intestine. At this stage, appendix may become so inflamed that it bursts. It must be removed at once to avoid bursting and infecting the surrounding organ or it may become severe and even life-threatening.
Children aging 10 to 30 years old are prone to appendicitis. In western countries, almost 7 percent of the population was having appendicitis and some carry this illness in their lifetime.
Experts suggest that people must eat foods with fiber; this can help to prevent from appendicitis. Therefore, number of cases of appendicitis was declining for the over years.
Thus, giving food with fiber to your baby may help prevent him from appendicitis. As parents, we should never give a chance that our babies will develop appendicitis; it is not just uncomfortable to us, but it is rather bring too much pain risks to our babies. Take care of your baby’s health.
