Although baby acid reflux is a disease that the parents often fail to discover, but with should be seriously taken. Baby acid reflux may cause vomiting of the freshly taken diet, coughing or in most severe cases difficulty in respiration. If this case is not taken up promptly, your baby may suffer from acute medical emergency called ARDS.
Babies who suffer from Baby acid reflux disease must be burped adequately after each feed, this includes all the breast-fed and the bottle-fed babies. Some foods are to be avoided like milk (if the baby is suffering from lactose intolerance), spicy foods, citrus fruits (oranges, lemon etc.) and any drink that may contain caffeine.
Medication is to be prescribed to relieve the pain and to neutralize the formed acid, but no inhibitor to acid formation is prescribed. You may have to change the diet habit of the baby.
