Great Learn to Read Sites

I’m sure all of you parents have a handful of websites you just love when it comes to educational sites. I thought I would take the chance to introduce my favorite.

StarFall.com is a reading website that my child actually enjoys just as much as he does sites like NickJr and Noggin. Naufal is learning to recognize and write his letters, so we focus on the ABC’s section. That is the first of three levels that the site is divided into so that children are getting just what they need.

The “Learn to Read” section is going to walk your early reader through things like chunking, silent e, vowels, reading left to right and so much more that will support a new reader.

“It’s Fun to Read” integrates fun games like tongue twisters, music and poetry to further encourage a young reader’s confidence through play.

“I’m Reading” is along the lines of the easy readers you might find in your local library. Fun stuff; but also educational.

The entire site is colorful and easy to navigate. Nobody asked me to endorse their site. I just happen to love it and wanted to pass along the link to anyone who may come this way.
